A BIG THANK YOU
We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who supported us last year and came for lessons/training.   It is always so satisfying to help train people to train their dogs and to see the progress made, often in a very short time, and it is also so rewarding when people compete and achieve awards in tests/trials - well done to you all. Whether you are using your dog just as a shooting companion or competing with him/her, just enjoy them.  We look forward to seeing both old and new faces in 2009/10 2010/2011.  Remember, you can put most things off, but you can't put off training your dog!

Planned Litters 2009 2010
We shall be breeding from our labrador Jessie (Harrockhill Magpie of Woodash) although we haven't decided on the sire as yet. Woodash Ebony (Poppy) was mated in December to Jamie Bettinson’s FTCH Levenghyl Peacock who came 3rd in this years Retriever Championships. We shall also be breeding from Sally (FTW Woodash Roxanne) and Kim (FTCH Halaze Layla of Woodash). Please check website regularly for details of litters/dogs/puppies for sale or contact us on 01934 751221/07973 360943.

Woodash Eddie wins Save the Children Final at Margam Park Steve Wells and Sebu (Woodash Eddie) competed throughout last summer at various Save the Children Tests to qualify for the final at Margam Park in August. Although there was some very stiff competition Steve and Sebu won the final – well done to you both.

Trialing Results 2009/10

Halaze Oh Boy of Woodash (Buddy)
Buddy has done well again this season in Open Trials, although missed qualifying for the Championships after a three dog run off for 1st place and coming 2nd! He has gained a number of awards this season which just shows what a consistent dog he is.

Woodash Ebony (Poppy)
Lex ran Poppy in 5 Novice Trials this season and was called up for the final run off stages in all but 1 of the trials. Poppy has gained 2 Certificates of Merit. Unfortunately Poppy then came into season during December and due to the weather and other commitments probably wont get to run again this year. So back to training after her puppies (to FTCH Levenghyl Peacock) are born in February 2010.

Woodash Ebony (Poppy) wins WWGS Novice Test

Lex ran Poppy in the Wiltshire Working Gundog Society Novice Test on Sunday 31st May 2009 and won!  There were some 24 dogs running so Poppy did really well easpecially as this was only her 3rd test. Poppy is out of Lex's bitch Jessie (Harrockhill Magpie of Woodash to FTCH Willowyck Jack Snipe) and is the first dog Lex has trained, needless to say she was a bit emotional when she won (yes she blubbered!!). Lex would like to say a big Thank You to all the people who have helped her with training; Dave, Ricky, Mark and Jamie. Poppy is the third dog out of this litter to win. Lex and Poppy will now concentrate on training for this coming seasons trials and will hopefully continue to do well.
